How do you help clients avoid over-indebtedness?

Without proper care, a loan can be a curse and not a blessing. We use two strategies to help our clients avoid excessive indebtedness:

Building Relationships: Opportunity International builds relationships with all our loan clients through our loan officers. By knowing each individual and situation, we are able to meet our clients' specific needs and help them when difficulties arise. As a responsible lender, we regularly refuse microloan applications if we feel the applicant is not well equipped to manage the loan repayments.

Financial Education: We provide financial training to our clients to help them manage their money wisely. We are determined to be an industry leader in providing business and financial literacy training to our clients.
