Microfinance - a working solution to global poverty

Jon has been giving leadership to local and global outreach for over 20 years. His work within church leadership as a pastor and spiritual entrepreneur has influenced and inspired people to actively engage in compassion and justice initiatives for the poor in Canada and around the world. Jon has provided vision and leadership for major projects in Romania, Zimbabwe and Malawi. In 1999, Jon founded West Edge Community Church in Mississauga and launched the Action Africa project in response to the widow and orphan crisis due to HIV/AIDS.
Jon has a Bachelor of Theology from Master's College & Seminary and is currently taking studies at Wycliffe Seminary at the University of Toronto. He and his wife Claudia and their three teenagers live in downtown Toronto where they love the eclectic organized chaos called urban life. Jon enjoys visiting local cafes, restaurants and pubs with his wife. He is also enjoys playing hockey, squash, cycling, and staying loyal to all of Toronto's sports teams.
