Volunteering At Opportunity Canada

We are always looking for volunteers who are available during our office hours for "on-call" administrative support!

Opportunity International Canada highly values its volunteers and the contributions they make to the organization. Opportunity Canada aims to make volunteering with us a mutually beneficial experience for both the organization and the volunteer. Volunteers have an opportunity to contribute to and gain valuable hands-on experience in our dynamic and rapidly expanding international development organization. Volunteers from all over Canada are welcome to apply for positions which allow you to work from your home or office.

All volunteer opportunities are unpaid, and all "on-call" or "drop-in" volunteers are not needed on a full-time basis.

Tasks include, but are not limited to: assistance with packaging mailings, processing the Faces of Opportunity book orders, and various other administrative duties. During peak times of need (approximately every month or so) we will send out a call for volunteers. We normally ask for a three to four hour time commitment per day.

An ideal "on-call" volunteer is someone who:

  • is available on short notice
  • can work from home or are able to travel to our West Toronto office
  • is available for about three to four hours at a time, from Monday and Friday, between the hours of 8:30am - 4:30pm

We are currently recruiting volunteers to fill the following "on-call" positions:

  • Graphic Designer (work from home/office)
  • Event Volunteers (work at local events - see below for Position Profile)
