Once a Trust Group is established in a local neighbourhood, the members support one another as they repay their loans and learn new skills together.  They also commit to guarantee each other’s loans.  If one woman’s business falters, the others chip in for her loan repayments until she returns to profitability.  Trust Groups have proven to be the secret behind our high loan repayment rates and remain an essential ingredient in growing the next generation of entrepreneurs.

Trust Group meetings also provide Opportunity with insights into the unique challenges facing the people we serve. Many of our financial services and training modules are a direct result of feedback from Trust Group meetings.
