In local communities across Canada, the US and UK, YAO Chapters are the core to a movement that could see poverty eradicated in our lifetime.  Local meetings are an chance for you to meet others who are excited about Opportunity International in your area. The meetings are a time of information-sharing, brainstorming, goal-setting and decision-making about local activities. 

YAO chapters build awareness about the microfinance community and raise funds for Opportunity International by:

• Working together to grow membership and involvement

• Educating their community on poverty and microfinance

• Hosting social and fundraising events to raise support and awareness for the YAO initiatives in Colombia
